Love Story

October 2011--
Cory and I met at PNC Bank. He worked at Loomis at the time and I was a Teller for PNC.

Cory delivered the money on Tuesday's every week.

I was filling in for a co-worker in the drive-thru and he was making his usual delivery. He made immediate notice that he had never seen me in the drive-thru before and asked why he never seen me, about my weekend and tried to make small talk.

About a month or two passed and it was my last Tuesday at the bank before transferring jobs and he came in and quickly noticed that I was abnormally in the drive-thru filling in for my co-worker again and he over-confidently stated "that they knew he was coming and that is why they put me in the drive-thru" as I sat there completely speechless, he walked over to finish the delivery, my co-worker and I were talking about Facebook -- and as Cory was leaving he said that I should look him up, I totally snubbed him off, but immediately looked his profile up on my lunch break.. It was private! So I had no choice but to add him...and so it began.

The next morning I was getting ready for work and he FB messaged me and as we talked and I let him know I was leaving the bank for a job at a local law firm. We talked for a few weeks and after I started my new job, we decided to meet up. We met at the bayfront one night after work and talked for an hour or two and the overly confident guy that he is mentioned a kiss... and normally I don't kiss and tell nor kiss on the "first date" but everything seemed so perfect. Instant butterflies. It was a perfect kiss. We said our good-byes and I immediately had to call my little sister to tell her all about my evening.

After that we met at different locations for about 2 or 3 weeks and things seemed to going really well so we started hanging out more and more. We had so much in common, wanted the same things in life, had goals and ambitions we couldn't wait to do in the future. We saw each other every night, for hours. We would drive around, stop and eat and just enjoy each others company. After about a month of just getting to know each other we became a couple. We have been inseparable since.

May 2012 --
I am usually pretty good at picking up on things when Cory is up to something.. but not today day. A few weeks ago Cory had made a suggestion that we take our families out to dinner again since we all had a great time at our Mother's Day dinner.

I loved the idea, I loved that our families got along so well.

Cory planned the whole thing. So clueless me had no idea what was in store.

We went to Red Lobster close to my hometown, which I found out later he chose that restaurant because he knew my parents went there for their anniversary dinners! We arrived. My parents, my sisters, his mom, his sister, her husband and their son, Cory, Kam, and I all for a fun dinner!

He was so quiet on the way down, I figured it was because he had to be at work super early so I paid no attention. He was so fidgety too, which I should have caught on to. At dinner I never even noticed he barely touched his food. He started playing with his phone at dinner.. which he knows is one of my biggest pet peeves. So I questioned him about.. and he wouldn't show me what he was doing.. which never happens. (apparently at this time it was his sign he was about to propose) He was so sweet and quietly started to talk to me then I could tell he was nervous about something.. I noticed my mom leaning over watching me and I was so confused why she wasn't eating, then I noticed that my sister had her phone up like she was taking pictures. Then it hit me! He told me that he had asked everyone here tonight because he had something he wanted to ask me, he then proceeded to tell me that he had asked my dad's permission and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! (I said yes!!)

We hugged, kissed and cried, it was the happiest day of my life.

We have the most traditional love story in a very non-traditional world. I couldn't imagine a day without him, I am beyond excited to marry him and start our life together as mr. and mrs.
